welcome.jpgWindmill Farm continues the tradition of a fully functioning cattle and sheep farm, whilst also breeding quality Welsh mountain ponies and Cobs.  In order to sustain the farm and develop the local rural economy, my family and I decided to diversify into leisure and tourism.

We converted a large run down barn into two luxury, self contained holiday cottages.  Essential throughout the project was the need to be  aware of environmental and local economic needs, we employed local craftsmen and used local materials. In addition, we installed a unique underground heating system which requires no fossil fuels.  Our dedication to environmental sustainability has resulted in a commendation at the Lord Mayor of Swansea Design Awards 2007.  The project has also been entered for the “Building control – Built in Quality@ /awards.
